Crown Athletics Cross Country – Mileage Tracker

2012 was our first year participating in the Crown Athletics Cross Country team.  We were thoroughly impressed with the coaches, the runners, the parents, and the entire experience.  My oldest daughter ran last year but our plan is for all four of our older kids to participate in the 2013 season.  The head Coach (Howard Brummel) ended the season by requesting that all of the kids log their running hours during the off-season so they will be prepared for a successful 2013 season (and so they can stay healthy and fit through the winter).  To help my kids meet this goal we have decided to start running together as a family.

If you are a homeschooling family that lives in the Woodstock, GA area and you are looking for a great activity to get your kids involved in I would highly recommend Crown’s program.  If you are reading this during off-season that’s no problem.  Your child can begin running and logging their hours in preparation for the season and you can check out Crown’s website to learn more about the program and how/when to register.  Crown offers many other sports on their website.  I can’t speak to the quality of the other teams as we have only participated in Cross Country but my guess is that they are great too.

For those of you preparing for the upcoming season, here is the Mileage Tracker Coach provided at the end of the season:

I have also created a “detailed” version of the mileage tracker that makes it easy to track all of your runs and it will automatically total up the months and the grand total.  You can print it out or enter your distance directly into the spreadsheet…whatever works best for you:
